Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: September 16, 2026
Your trust matters. This policy describes the information BBX handles, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how BBX (“BBX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit or use the BBX website, marketplace, Vault, Industry Insider, account tools, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). It does not govern third-party services that maintain their own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. Account details such as your name, producer or stage name, email address, profile information, social links, biography, application materials, beats, artwork, audio files, pricing, licensing selections, messages, support requests, and payout information.
Transaction information. Purchase, subscription, submission, refund, and payout records. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider; BBX does not store full payment card numbers.
Information collected automatically. Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, referring pages, interactions, timestamps, diagnostic records, and cookies or similar technologies needed to operate, secure, measure, and improve the Platform.
Information from others. Authentication providers, payment processors, curators, rights holders, fraud-prevention providers, and users who report content or activity may provide information about you.
3. How we use information
- Provide accounts, profiles, uploads, playback, discovery, licensing, purchases, subscriptions, certifications, submissions, and payouts.
- Authenticate users, secure the Platform, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and investigate misuse.
- Process transactions and maintain tax, accounting, audit, and business records.
- Send service messages, purchase notices, security alerts, application updates, and communications you request.
- Analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, improve features, and develop new services.
- Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect users, BBX, and the public.
4. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the Platform, comply with legal obligations, and obtain consent where required. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
5. How we share information
We may share information with hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, email, customer-support, payment, fraud-prevention, and professional-service providers that process it for us.
Public profiles, producer names, beat details, artwork, certification status, curator pages, and other content you choose to publish are visible to others. Transaction participants may receive information reasonably needed to complete a license, submission, review, or payout.
We may disclose information when required by law; to protect rights, safety, and security; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information for money. If our practices constitute “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable law, you may exercise the rights described below.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect transactions, understand Platform performance, and prevent abuse. Your browser may let you block or delete these technologies, but essential features may stop working.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, fulfill transactions and licenses, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, satisfy legal and accounting duties, and protect the Platform. Retention periods vary by data type and context. We may retain de-identified information where it can no longer reasonably identify you.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You may update certain account information through your profile and unsubscribe from optional marketing messages using the instructions in those messages. Service and transaction messages may still be sent.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; to withdraw consent; to opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; and to appeal a denied request. We may verify your identity and retain information where an exception applies. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law.
9. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live; where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers.
10. Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Users under the age of legal majority where they live may use the Platform only with permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Platform, our practices, or the law. We will post the revised policy and update the date above. For privacy questions or requests, contact BBX through the support or contact method made available on the Platform. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority where applicable.
